Episteq publishes this website. Episteq is not yet a legally incorporated company. Questions about this notice go to hello@episteq.com.
What this website stores in your browser
If you press Light or Dark in the colour theme control, the website saves your choice in your browser’s local storage under the name episteq-theme. The value is either light or dark. It stays on your device and the website does not send it anywhere. A small file on each page reads it before the page is shown so that your choice applies at once.
The website’s own code does not set cookies, run analytics or use tracking scripts, and it has no forms.
The video on the Home page
The Home page shows a video from a YouTube channel that Episteq’s founder owns. The player is YouTube’s own embedded player in its privacy-enhanced mode, served from a YouTube address, and it loads when the Home page loads, before you press play. Your browser therefore contacts YouTube, which is operated by Google, and sends it the information a browser sends with any request, such as your IP address and browser details.
YouTube and Google decide what they do with that information, and they may store cookies or similar data in your browser. Episteq does not control this and has not examined what they store. Their own privacy information applies. The other pages do not load the player.
Hosting
The website is served through Cloudflare. Like any host, Cloudflare receives the technical information that comes with each request, such as your IP address, and may keep logs under its own policies. Episteq has not added analytics of its own.
If you write to an address at episteq.com, we receive your email address and your message. Mail to these addresses is routed by the domain’s mail routing to a mailbox that Episteq’s founder controls. We use what you send to reply to you.
Links to other sites
The footer links to Episteq’s pages on LinkedIn, YouTube and Facebook. Following a link takes you to that service, which has its own privacy information. Those links are ordinary links: this website does not load anything from them.

If the website changes in a way that affects what is described here, this notice will be updated.
